Christmas Art with Mrs Magnier

This Christmas we made two different presents. First we made orange pomanders. These are made with oranges and cloves. Did you know that Queen Elizabeth 1st of England used to wear them!! Maybe that was because of their nice smell. Next we made coil pots.

Here are some of them. Coil pots have been made for thousands of years. They are found in many museums around the world. They are made by building up layers of coils of clay.

We painted the cloil pots in lots of different colours.

I painted my coil pot a lovely gold colour!

I painted some dragons on my coil pot. I am from Wales and the Welsh Dragon is the symbol of Wales.
